Bo MORE SaLaRIED OFFICERS. Dr. Verdi moved that an assistant to the in- spector of fish be appointed, at the rate of $75 per month, until the fees of the inspector are settled. He said that the inspector eon!d not be expected to perform all the duties required. The Position was an iumportant one, and he was en- titled to assistance. Mr. Marbury was opposed to creati salaried officer, and although he believed fish Inspector was entitled to assistance lhe could pot covsent tothe creation of another efficer, to be paid otherwise than by fees. The motion was referred. Mr. Marbury moved that the Health Officer be dirceted to ‘mepect the county jail and the Police Court tufiding, and report as to their sanitary condition, agreed to.
