In other portions of the city yesterday afternoon the strikers moved about in squads, stopping all men who were not receiving $? per day. On loth street, near Massachusetts avenue, the work was stopped. On the Columbia street railway quite a large force of white men are at work, snd Mr. Gleason, the contractor, expects, if he isnot interfered with, to finish up the job in ten dave. 400 STRIKERS IN SECRET XNEBTING RESOLVE TO HOLD OUT FOR $2 Pam Day. Last night, a meeting of the strikers was held at the corner of 22d and L streets, in the First Ward, with closed doors, and after some speak- ing resolutions were adopted that they would not return to work for less sum than $2 per day.
