For some time past the membership of the various lodges have not been satistied with either the location of or the accommodations afforded by their old quarters, corner of 1th reet and Louisiana avenue, and about three onths ag decided to make a change as soon as a quitable room could be found on satis- factory terms. With this purpose in view, = committee, composed of ene member from each lodge, was sppointed, with instructions and iquely opposite Tue Evextno Stak office,} atter the expenditure of considerable time money in planning and carrying out the cessary improvements, as stated above, the room was yesterday opened to the inspection of friend: th pemt of renta decidediy neat and attractive appearance. Indeed, the whole establishment reflects credit on those charged with the duty of providing it, as well as upon the several lodges occupying it. Syphax tried to keop Mr. King out, and he, (the speaker,) with others, went to General Howard to keep bim out, bat proposed that he should be allowed to rem: three months. It was not three months whe: Syphax proposed to et with him, and they elected Cook he kept away, and then he fell out with Jones.
