BALTimong, June 30.—This morning 8 spe- clal ain arrived at Mount Clare trom Wash- ington, Im which was President Grant and several members of the Cabinet, g: ests of the Baltimore and Uhbio Railread Company. The visitors are now inspecting the works of the company. The train comprised the officers’ coach, President Garre:t’s car, ana the Master of Roads’ car, and was in charge of Capt. Wm Biars, and drawn by engine No. 275, Mr. Beck- ett, engineer. The train lett Washington at 9 o'clock, and ‘was accompanied here by Mr. J. 1. Wilson, the master of transportation, and Major G. S- Koontz, agent at Washington. The party is composed of the following: President Grant: Secretary Cox, Postmaster General Ureswell, Ex-Secretary Stanton, E. L. Stanton, Commis- sioner Delano, and Admiral Porter. President Garrett recetved the distinguished party a: Mount Clare, the workmen turning ont en masse, and cheering the visitors. The shops were handsomely decorated inside and out. After a thorough survey of the extensive ‘works at Mount Clare, the party will proceed by rail to Locust Point, where they will embark on the company’s steamer Baltimore, which leaves at two o'clock for Bremen, and go down the bay to Swan Point, returning om the ‘steamer Chesapeake in time to take the special train for Washingtoa at seven or eight o'clock. The party arrived at Locust Pointat halt- past one o'clock, and immediately went on board the steamer, which (with other vessels) was bandsomely decorated with flags and evergreens, There were a large number on the boat, and many were on the wharf. Captain Voeckler received the party at the gang-piank and escorted them to the quarter-deck, ‘The Baltimore left the wharf at 2 o'clock be- 1pg accompanied by the steamer Chesapeake with quite a large company on board.
