CONSECRATION OF AN ALTAR.—The beanti- ful altar wbich bas been recently placed in Stephen's (Catholic) Chureb, corner 26th stree and Pennsylvania avenue, was consecrated this morning by the Right Rev. Thomas A. Becker, Bishop of Wilmington, Del. Notwith- standing the early hour at which the ceremo- nies commenced (7 o'clock) the church was well filled.
