IMPEACHMENT. The bears in impeachment stock made a tre- mendous rally last evening, and for a time had itall their own way at the leading hotels and other points where transactions in the market are carried on. Friends of the President, who ‘were supposed to know a thing or two, were | -betting wild on acquittal—two to one, ten to one, an hundred to one. Later at night the bulls rallied, swept everything, and fprofessed to be particularly anxious to find any party anxious to bet on acquittal. To-day it bas been a see-saw operation, the bears being uppermost one hour and the balls the next. Should the excitement increase in the ratio ithas for the Inst forty-eight hours, by Tuesday it will be up to fever heat, and something over. Undoubtedly, Tuesday will will be the most exciting day in Washington since the surrender of Lee's army. Grant, Commanding Armies United States.—Colo- nel Sprague telegraphs “election in Florida passed off without disorder.” Judging from partial returns the Constitution bas been rati- fied by about 3,000 majority and Reed ticket (Repub:ican) elected by a small majority. The official returns have been received in this State from all but one county and show that the Constitution has been ratified by 17,933 majority. Bullock elected by 7.220 mrjority.
