None but bookbinders who | have duly qualified by apprenticeship, and are of good moral character are eligible as members, ‘The plan of the soviety is an initiation fee of fifty cents, and a levy of one dollar and ten | cents on the death of each member. The doilars thus levied are to be paid over to the widow, children, or legal representative of the de- ceased member, and the ten cents goes to form & permanent working fund. Thus, with one thousand members, the representative of the | deorased would receive the handsome sum of $1,600.
