Last Thursday DMrs. Hatfield told her husband that she wanted to go and visit some friends at Avon: He furnuehed her with fands, she packed up, took her littie girl and started for Avon. Thursday Morning also, Sheban drew bis money, some $700, out of the Bank, and he, too, lef: for Avon at tral depot in a great state of excite- ment, and complaimed to the policeman there that her husband had run away with another | woman. He could do nothing for her, and she jeft. The story reached Hatfield's ears that ‘Sbeban aad his wife had eloped, and he started to bunt ber up on Friday, but returned in the evening without having succeeded in finding any trace.
