Tenney. colored, were arrested in May for the larceny and had a hearing when Ten- ney was dismissed and Chase heid for a hear- ing before Justice Thompson, it having been sbown that Chase purchased the harness from Moses Biack, colored. Black managed toelude the police until yesterday officer George W. Frazier, of the First Ward, received informa- tion that Black was tossing cents on 12th street, near O. Frazier got within a few feet of Black betore Biack knew the officer, and the swift- fowted negro sprang away like adeer. Frazier startek In pursuit, and the chase was a spirited One throngh the alleys and streets in that lo- eality. which are not very favorable for a pur- suer unnsed to the neighberhood.
