Mr. Wilson also introduced a resolution fix- ing the time for examming the contestants for ibe Columbian College scholarship on the 7th day of July; which was adopted, and Messrs. Mr. Wilson also announced a resolution Tecommending, to maintain the efficiency of the schools, that the Councils authorize ‘the establishment of four additional female inter- mediate schools, one in each district; the es- tablisbment of eight additional primary schools, two in each district; fixing the salary of the principal of the Wallach School st $1,000 per year; to continne the salaries of all the other teachers the same as fixed by the act of February 12, 1864; and Toquesting the com- mittee on Congress and the Councils to use their efforts to seeure the legislation necessary.
