Lookout for a@ grand success. ——— MatTRimosiaL Trovece ‘On Tuesday eve- wing, Justice Walter had before him a crowd of men end women who came up to settle fome cifficulties growing out of a wedding in Swampoodie. It appears that Tim O'Conner, & fiddler, who bas made the music at the “shin digs” in that locality for some time, fel! in love with Ellen Curtain, a blind fiddler, and re- cently they were married. A wedding party took place at the residence of the brother of the bride, and while the festivities were going on, the mother of Tim, who was deadly opposed to the match, walked in and interrupted the Proceedings by driving out a colored musician, who was furnishing the motive power for the dancing. Lim immediately picked up the in- strnment and commenced the tune, when the enraged old Iady took it away, smacked the Toom’s jaws and smashed the fiddle. A regu- lar row ensued, and Tim siezed his mother bodily and carried her home. This affair oceasioned considerable ill-feeling among the friends of the parties, and the mo- ther, to have revenge for the manner in which she was put out of the wedding party, caused the arrest of Tim. for an assault on her, and for the larceny of $55. She also caused the arrest of Mrs. Julia Harri young woman who har- bored Tim. when his mother refused to receive him,) on the chazge of assault on the night of the party. Tuesday night the case came up for a hearing, ‘Ww. a nearly all the particants in the party were present, and after hearing the evidence the Justice put Tim. under bail to keep the ace, and his mother also, dismissing Miss arris and the c! ‘ge of larceny against Tim. ——_4— Hicnway Ronrery.—Monday night, about Tis o'clock, Jacob W.
