The steamer Wawasset, which has been: handsomely fit‘ed up, makes three trips each week to Mount Vernon, leaving the 7th street whart on Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays. The hospital at Pointof Rocks having been discontinued, the steamer Hero of Jersey ar- Tived here yesterday with the effects of the same, consisting of beds, bedding, cooking Dtensils, medicines, &c. which wili be tarned over to the Medical Parveyor. The Government wharves were literally lined with contrabands this morning, who tol- lowed Sherman's army to this city, awaiting transportation to get back to their homes. A large quantity of tobacco, cotton, ducking, Wool, &c. captured at Richmond from the reb- els arrived here yesterday on the steamer Transit. These articles w lt be sold and the proceeds turned into the U.S. Treasury. Capt. No mail boat bas arrived here from City Point for the past three days. — DEPARTURE OF TRoors.— Yesterday the fol- lowing troops left the city. Teo AGRICULTCRAL RErortT.—The report of the Department of Agriculture, just issued, In- cludes the months of April and May, and gives valuable s*: atistics relative tothe amount, > pecs and yalue of the live stock of the United tates, our trade with Canada, the crops. &c. The tables of imports and exports show the extent to which omr export trade of agricul- turai productions has decreased, but says:— «The crops of 1565, both at home and abroad, promise an abundant harvest, and should this promise be realized, prices must fall, espe- cially under a continued decline in the tall of gold. But no estimate.can yet be made of ‘what these crops will be, tor they are not free from serious and unfavorable casualties. Itis still expected, bowever, that the summer will show an increaced export of our wheats, be- cause their quality is superior, aud the recent advarce in Snelish prices, although small, in- dicates that the inferior wheats, which have been weighing down prices, are consumed sufficiently to relieve the markets trom their depressing influence.” —_—_=>——_ A Hareas Corrvs Case.—Yesterday there ‘were no jury trials in the Crimmmal Court. A ‘Writ of habeas corpus having been issued upon the petition of Lewis Bouton alias vonseee: and Harriet his wife, and served upon S. A.
