The case had been continued from Friday, (when the evidence exhibited nothing against the little boys, Ben- jamin Zimmerman and John T. Walker, who had been suspected of belIng concerned with the attempt in some way.) m order to hear other witnesses. At this hearing they were present, all of them boys, and their testimony tully exonerated noth of the suspected boys, and so far from attempting to destroy the Qouse was that one got a candle and matches to enabie the firemen to find the water plug, and the other was helping with buckets at the fire. Justice Thompson said he wasgiad be had continned the investigation, as the evi. dence now bsnished every shadow ofsuspicion, For himself he was perfectly satisfied with the sBuocence of the boys, and without pnitting their counsel to the trouble of making any de- tence would dismiss the case altogether. —_—_—.—— _ Tow FungraL or RicHarD S, Cox.—The interment of the remains of this much esteemed citizeR was attended by a very large represen- tation of the members of the bar, many other prominent citizens, and a large concourse of friends.
