Th: wife is to hold her property for her separate use, with power of recovering it as fully as if she werea feme acle, or convey the same by a joint deed with berhusband, and if she die intestate, leaving children, her husbandshali have a life estate in her property, real and personal, but if leay- ing no children. her husband shall have a life estate in ber real property, and her personal property shall vest in bimabsolutely. A trus- tee shali not be necessary to a married woman, but she may. if she desire it, make one by deed, her husbané joining therein, orshe may pro- cure one through a court of equity; and if she have po trustee, she may sue by her next triend for the recovery or secarity of her prop- erty. Mr. Lewis Clephane presided, and Mr. J. T. Clements acted as secretary. New York, Indiana, Pennsylvania, Michi- gan, Minnesota, Kansas, Maryland, Ohio, Ver- mont, New Jersey, and Iowa State organiza- tions were represented by delegates. Hon. B B French, from the committee ap pointed ata tormer meeting to select a room for the infuguration ball, made & unanimous report in favor of the large room in the north wing of the Patent Office building. Report adopted. Cn motion of Mr. French, a committee of five. consisting of B. B. French, Hon. D. P. Holloway, Major T. H Gardner, T. B. Brown ana J. R. Eivans, to make arrangements for the ball, and seieet managers. Mr. T. B. Brown moved that no one be ap- pointed ou any of the committees who are not in full sympathy with the Administration. Adopted. Major DeCos'a moved the appointment of a committee to raise funds to defray the expenses of the inauguration ceremonies. Major Holloway moved to amend, so as to make the committee consist of one from each State and Territory. Agreed to. Seg THE TRiaL or Moses WEISENFELD & Uo — The Military Commission on F street, of which Major General Abuer_ Doubleday ts president and Colonel John A. Foster is judge advocate, to-day proceeded with the case of Moses Weis- enteld and Joseph Friedenwaid, Baltimore merchants, doing busimess in that city under the firm of Weisenfeld & Co. These parties stand charged with selling goods to be conyeyed throngh the rebel lines and sentto the Confederates; with manu‘ac- taring contraband goods; with holding treas- onable intercourse with persons in the Uon- federate lines, and with bribery. Gov. Thomas H. Ford and A. G. Riddle, of Washington, and Messrs. O. I. M.Gwinn and Archibald Sterling, jz., of Baltimore, appeared for the defendants. Charles A. Tyson, of Baltimore, testified that he went South in December of 1562. for the purpose of collecting debts due Moses Weisen- feld & Co.; he visited all the States, save Lon- isiana, and remaines there for a period of six- teen months; then returned and reported to Weisenteld & Co.: was taken by the lth New York cavalry, in St. Marys county, Maryland, on his way South; afterwards got to Rich- mond; in one case compromised a debt for the firm above named; then went on to Lynch- burg and transacted business for the firm to th amonnt of about $50,000; was paid about $20 per mont for such service.
