The services at the house were con- ducted by Rev. Dr. Samson, after which the corpse was placed im_ the hearse—Messrs. | James: Williamson, H..K. Gray, W. J. Harris, and W.G. Brock, on the part of the Odd Fel- lows, and Messrs. Robt. Pywell and Jas. Bag- man on the part of the hackmen, officiating as pall bearers—and the solemn cortege pro- ereded to Glenwood, where the remains were placed in the vault, the foneral services of the bas Fellows being conducted by Chaplain ray. The Hackmens’ Association, of which the deceased was aa esteemed member, at their meeting on Thursday evening, passed resolu- tions of respect to the memory of the deceased, and voted to furnish all the carriages requisite | jor the funeral, and they afterwards pro- ceeded ina body to the residence of the de- ceased, and took a farewell look at the corpse. Yesterday, the sssociation made the fullest ar- japgements for the faneral and were present in a body. From New York, coming south, the7.30 train | Will be caanged to7 p. m.; nosleepine cars will be attached, the desire of the department being that the number of cars should be limited. | Sleeping cars will, however, be connected with the 12o’clock (midnight) train from New York. The new arrangement will go into effect on Sunday, the 19th day of the present menth.
