Why should we not follow thea example set us bv the committee in New York city: although their gnota is full, they are working steadily away, raising soldiers’ to send to our brave Grant. and to be credited on their quotain case of another draft. Let ug do the same; let & méeting be called and a committee be re. pointed to call on our merchants, basiness men and others, for their subscription to the bounty fund. I have spoken to many on the subject and they all arein favor ofit. I would suggest that the old committee.be ap- pointed, as they thoroughly understand the matter, having had alarge experience. Let us be up and doing, so that when the call is made, Wwe will not be subject to the anncyance ofa draft. We bave cause to be proud ofour success in filling the quota under the last call—let.us be ahead this time. OpTIZEN, Sub SES Grayp Larceny.—Monday Sergt.
