An inquest was held yesterday morning by W._L. Fenn, acting Coroner, on the body of J. H. Scotten, who was murdered on Friday Bight in the Tunnel, and the jary rendered a ‘Verdict that “deceased came to his death by Wounds inflicted on the right side of the neck, with some sharp instrument, in the hand or hands of sore person or persons, to the jury unknown.” Several witnesses were examined, but the evidence elicited but little else than what was stated by us on Saturday concern- ing the murder.
