Cudlip, father and son, appeared betore Justics Bates to answer 2 charge of assault and hattery on Jos. P. Shellenn, son-in-law of Mr. B. Cudlip. The exge being altogether a family quarrel, the justice required the parties to give bail for peace. Dr. R. P. Darby was arrested this morning by officer Crown, for assault und battery on Hugh Lockery. Justice Kinsey tried the case. The plaintiff is a boy, and was employed by Dr. Darby to paste up handebills for him, and he alleges that, after working nearly a week, was discharged without pay. The boy went to the doctor’s office, on Seventh st to get his pay, and the doctor pushed him Gown the steps. Justice Kinsey held the doctor to bail for peace. The boy warranted for his pay, and got judgment for $3.50, which the doctor paid promptly .
