LOCAL NEWS. AMUSEMEN1B TO-NIGHT. Grover’s TukaTER.—Mr. Grover has effect- ed a re-engagement with Mies Lucilie West- ern, andshe willappear to-night as «Mary Tudor,” in Victor Hugo’s four-act play of that mame. Miss Western has ever heen a great javerne with our play-goers, and in re-en- gaging her fora short season Mr.Grover has undoubtedly well pleased the great majority of his patrons. The play announced for to- night is one not often performed here, but it ‘will not on that account, be less attractive. Forp’s THEATER.—Tha comedy season at Ford’s commences to-night. and in the engage. meut of the Webb Sisters the manager here has shown his determination to do all in his power to please his patrons, by the employ- ment of only the Lest comedy talent. Two ip- teresting and amusing dramas are announced for to-nigh', viz:—*Tne Nobleman’s Daugh- ter,’ with Miss Emma Webb as ‘Julia,’ and «In and Out of Place,” with Miss Ada Webb in protean character. D. Milstead was passing a house kept by a Mr. Pfeffer, on the corner of Sth and East Capitol street, he heard a noise, as if a fight was goimg on inside; and after vainly endeavoring to obtain admission, he went to the Soldiers’ Rest and obtained a gaard from Capt. Camp. and returned, capturing three 1O\dlers, who were turned over to Capt.Camp, and the following, viz: Elizabeth Lambert, Mary White, Christiana Peterson, Etizabeth Ewald, and Dr. Rudolph Rodenhonsen, and tock them to the Station.
