JSS ss _ _ Reapy vor Sgrvice.—The capured steamer Neptune, a description of which has already been published, has had a complete overhaul- ing atthe Navy Yard, and her engines have been put in complete order. She has also been re-named the Clyde. On Wednesday her en- gines were subjected to a trial, and it is be- lived, from their working, that she will beable to make eighteen or nineteen knots per hour. They work so smoothly that there is no jarin any part of the vessel. She will no doubt rove to be one of the fastest vessels of our ‘avy. The following officers have been as- signed to her: Acting Master A. A. Owens, commanding; Acting Ensigns Geo. Dunn, and ©. F. Watson; Master’s- Mates C. Palmer and G.
