The Baltimore and Ohio railroad has suffered considerably. The bridge at Fairmount and Cfiitat river was blown up. The rebel force seems to have béen sufficiently magnified in the eyes of Pennsylvanians, judg- ing by the Philadelphia journals, to cause:them to seriously believe that this tatterdemalion g&ang of guerillas could force their way through a populous country to Pittsburg, and play the mischief there with that. city and Gayernment property there On the contrary we are quite certain that the guerilla gang has much more solicitude to get away from the storm gathering in their rear than to advance directly into the jaws of sure capture. CAPTURE OF PRISONERS ON THE RAPIDAN, The steamer Hugh Jenkins arrived at the Sixth street wharf at5 a.m. to-day, bringing up 140 rebel prisoners, who were captured on the Rapidan while attempting to lay a bridge across. Our forces, it seems, by some means got in their rear, and thus captured the whole party almost before the rebels were aware ef it.
