LovisvILiE, March 24.—The rebels, reported from three to ten thousand strong, with a much sion of Danville. They crossed the river, yia Mill Spring. to Somerset. No rebels are at Glasgow or Muntordsyille, or in that section. [Danville is the county town of Bovigcounty; in central Kentucky. It is about thirty miles from Lebanon, the terminus of the Central Branch Railroad, connecting that town with Louisville. General Longstreet will probably move upon the former and oceupy it before receiving a check from General Rosecrans’ forces, er those of General Burnside in the Department of the Ohio. This incursion is intended to prevent the election of the Hon. Joshua F, Bell, the Union candidate for Goy- ernor of Kentucky: but it is fraught with dan- gerous risks. and will prove disastrous to the army that has ventared to make such a bold streke.
