M.—In the moving of an army like this, too mnch c2ution cannot be exercised by all lovers of the Wnion. in giving any informa- tion, the ktiowledge of which would be of ser- vice to theenrmy. The location of a division or corps, by the fact of their having moved, though seeming of no importance to the people of the North, is of vast benefit to the enemy, and might be instrumental ia unnecessarily sucrificing thousands of lives, and defeating the best disciplined army in this country. vspapers are the medium by which the Tebels obtain many facts valuable to them, and those who have the control of them cannot be too cautious at the present time. Giving in- formation as to the enemy’s position and move- ments is not objectionable. Stuart, with from 1,500 to’ 2,000 of his rebel cavalry, came in to-day from Union to Mont- Ville, and attacked asmall force of our cavalry, driving them towards Aldie. The old Pennsylvania regiments are. to, be filled up at once with the drafied men. The order has been issued, and it is to hoped that other States will follow this excellent example. It should be a matter of pride with every State not to send the greatest number of recruits into the field, but to keep those already in service in the most efficient condition. This can only be done by filling up the old regiments. x The Riebmond papers received to-day an- nounce the arrivalin that city of Gen. and his stam, Gen.
