It will doubtless suit his plans te draw MeCteHan as far as possible after him, on the line which he must take in falling back on Richmond; but as there are other and tar better lines on which to move sgainst the Rebel capital than down the Valley, we are not of opinion that because Lee must necesarily re- treat on that line, therefore McClellan must fol- low him over it.
