Center Marxer.—To-day our principal mar- ‘et place was very largely attended by dealers of all c! ; the shed stands were all occupied, and the outside wagon stands were nearly so. The vegetable department improves rapidly, and the produce of the farms and gardens around is be- coming plentiful. The licensed dealers, with their usnal energy, keep up the supply of vegeta- bles and fruits from the distant States. Potatoes, Irish and sweet, are offered upon their benches in considerable quantities, and in as good order as at the first of the season. Last year the supply was kept up till the new crop to appear, and present appearances favor such a su for thisseason. For the first time this seaapn every stand in the fish market was supplied; and the demand appeared to be lively. The prices are but little changed from those of last week, though the supply is ancy increased. Shad are selling 8t $20 to $28 per 100; herring $15 to $20 per 1,000 Rock and perch are abundant. The hay market was well supplied, the | gears ranging from 50 to +0 cents, with a moderate demand.
