In that instance the Minister bas advised the consul to write on the ship’s gopers, in the contingency suggested, a certificate of the cir- cumstances under which she sailed, stating that at the time the federal government was not in pos- session of the Custom-house, and that another government was exercising authority there.” Snocxine Scrrzxinc — On Friday morning a wrecked schooner was discovered lying near the shore of the Hudson river, with four men on it.
