As this ee ession, if prevailing, could not fail un- ju uy to injure the business of that admirably- conducted establishment. we have to say that no such persons are permitted to enter any other part of the house except its ou bar-room, which has an entrance entirely distinct from any entrance to any other part ofthe building. Nor are gam- blers permitted to loaf in its har-room, the propri- etors tiking due care to guard against anything of the sort. As the bar-room is necessarily open for the accommodation of the public, they at times drink there, as in the bar-room of any other hotel in Washington. There is no more orderly bar- room in the Federal Metropolis than that of the National, nor any in any respect better conducted.
