P. Lest, who was recently arrested iu this city for the rascally swindle of the fifteen Phila- delphia school mistresses, was arraigned before the court in that city on Friday, a true bill of in- dictment having been found against him. He alleges that he was instigated to this fraud by a man with whom he recently occupied a room in a boarding house on South Tenth street. ‘This mau isa New Yorker, and he states that he wil divulge the connection held between them. He says that the money extorted from the deluded tmisses was obtained from him by his cooperator by misreprescutation.
