Gronertown, Feb 9, 1899 Decidedly the most cold-blooded and heartless case of shooting (more than likely murder) which bas occurred in our city for Many years, was per- petrated yesterday afternoon about 5 o'clock, by Hillary Hatcbings, upon the person of an indi- vidual by the name of Ennis. The facts, as we have gathered them, appearto be as follow: Yesterday, Hutchings, upon the statement of a boy, had nis arrested, charged with baving thrown stones at his restzurant and dwelling, situated upon market space. The accused wns taken before Justice Reaver, and there appearing no particle of evidence in support of the pace 2d the Justice promptly discba-ged him. After his arquittal, Enis, in company with two other in- dividuals, proceeded down to Water street, and from thence to the market, and stopped at % restaurant. Here they separated, and two friends went over to Hutcbings’s, and started towards Water street.
