EVENING STAR. A BALLAD OF THE RAIN. The following “Ballad of the Rain” appeared iaa late number of the: Home Journal. N. P. Willis sends it ina letter from Idlewild, in which he says its words are not only far sweeter than he could write, but to the very tane of the falling rain. Also, that since Edgar Poe’s “Raven,” no mourning madrigal has been written so sweet as “The Ballad of the Rain.” The author is Mrs. Juliet H. L.
