Now ann Txex.—The subjoined advertise- ment, taken from the Gazette of the United States of March, 1792, is a curiosity, as furuishing a comparison between the requirements for a Cap- itol of the United States at that day and at the present. ImpRovEMENTT aout Towx.—The property owners on Capitol Hill have done much during the present season to enhance the vaine of prop- erty im that direction by causing various neces- sary improverments to be made, contribnting targely to the beauty as well as the value of the ground. Seaton, who read the following resolution; which was adopted: Resolved, That each member of this association be requested to state in what portion of the army he served, and who were his officers; and, fur- ther, that a committee be appointed, who will inquire and at our next meeting who are entitled to bounty land and have not received it, and the reason their claims have been rejected by the Department.
