Munper’s Seconp Mar Batt.—This affair came off on Tuesday night, as beautiful and mag- nificent in all its appointmentsas the first. Among the dances that particularly delighted us, incom- mon with the entire audience, were the follow- ing: Pas de Trois, by Scott Towers, Annie Mor- 2: and Kate Crozier; La Manola, by Jennie under; the Scotch Dance, by eight small chil- dren; the bey scene in the Shaw! Dance, and the American Flag Dance, com; for the occasion by Munder himself; introducing all the national airs, and performed by thirty-two boys and girls beautifully costumed. This dance is truly @ magnificent performance—at once immor- talizing the composer by becoming itself a per- | oe American favorite. It is soon to be pub- ished in beantiful style, with stage directlons, when it will undoubtedly become very lar. ‘We must not close our notice of this ball without mentioning the final performance, which was the Highland Fling, by Munder himself, in fall cos- tame. It is probably needless to say that the ex- ecution of this dance excited universal and un- bounded applause —Union. Istaxn HALL was last night graced by the as- semblage of a bright and merry party of young folks, with their parents and friends, it being the May Festival of Miss Ann Willett’s school. A beautiful repr ion of ing introduced her flowers ; and we venture te feadies that when sbe herself expands into Summer, she will be one of the loveliest blossoms of the season. The evening passed off with the utmost merri- ment. harmony and decorum ; and Mixs Willett could not have had a more satisfactory endotse- ment of her own lady-like manners and admira- bie yement than the behavior of her pupils on this occasion.
