Daniel B Taylor moved that the meeting now proceed to designate, by ballot, their preference for candidates to be presented to the President for ny pes to the prin cipal federal offices in the city of New York, which motion was carried; and Mesers. W. D. Kennedy and Michael Toumey were appointed tellers. Candidates were not permitted to teke any part in the proceedings. The teilers reported the whole number of votes 131.
