Their uniform is that of the New Hampshire line in the Revolutiona: struggle: black beaver cocked chapeaus, with straight black plume; blue broad-cloth coat, of the "76 cut, faced with white cassimer; buff apa ei peat _ velvet smail clothes, ellew-top igh boots. Mr. Tillotson, who when called out to speak in Baltimore, observed “that he was like an old clergyman of whom he bad once read, who, being asked to fight, replied that he would not pony fer tofight, but would earnestly pray for those who did. The Avenue and streets through which it passed were filled with a \ dense crowd, who enjoyed the fine appearance of the military, listened with delight to “Ane inspiring strains of the Manchester and Wasabi: nm Marine Bands. When the line had been formed, Col. Hickey waited onthe President, who soon re-appeared escorted by the Secretary of War, Marshal Hoover, Adj’t. Gen. Cooper, and other distin- guished gentiemen.
