Georeztown, August 29, 1855. Agreeable to our anticipations our citizens came up nobly yesterday on behalf of the suf- ferers in the w fever districts. Two hilanthropic gentlemen, W. H and A. ie Pickreit. Eaqs., waited on many of them in person, and received contributions amounting to about $600. This amount, together with the collection at Trinity Church on Sabbath fast, will make about $800; which we feel vatisfied will be inereased to-day to $1,000. The following are the only changes which are likely to be made at the Georgetown Col- lege this year: The Rev. Mr. King has been removed, and the Rov. Geo! Fenwick who was last year in Frederick City, will return again to the Georgetown Colle; This will be good news to the inmates of the College Old George’s (as he is general'y called) free, open, gentlemanly and jocular manners, has long since rendered him a general favorite.
