\ ie of the American workers, has WORKERS OF N.Y. HONOR MATTEOTTI AT MASS MEETING: { | Denounce Fascist Terror} in Italy Hundreds of New York workers yesterday held a mass meeting at 7 E. 15th St. to commemorate the death of Giacomo Matteotti, who was murdered by the fascist terror under Mussolini on June 10, 1924. The meeting was held under the auspices Carlo Tresca, Pietro Allegro and| Frank Coco. The workers applauded | when the speakers urged that all workers of the world unite to bring about the end of the bloody Mussolini! under dictatorship, under which thousands of militant workers have been im- prisoned and tortured to death. The speakers denounced the wave of ter- ror of the Mussolini government, and} pledged that the Anti-Fascist Alli- ance would continue to fight to the end for the establishment of a work-| ers’ and peasants’ government in| Italy. Cal Coolidge will be ridden on a! 7 rail, and with him will be Hoover and his rival Al Smith. To be sure, Cal will not care to be present in person, nor will any of the rest. So they will have to be ridden in effigy. This matter has been put in the hands of able artists who will produce huge figures—more life-like than the originals.
