Albert Johnson, ignorant peanut politician, a that benighted outfit known as the lower house of congress, and chairman of the immigration and naturalization committee, staged a little publicity stunt for himself by joining the jackal pack in full ery fcr the blood of Sacco and Vanzetti. This miserably small person, who depends upon bile as a substitute for brains sued a “warning” to alien workers not to participate in demonstrations for the liberation of these two Italian workers whom Johnson, without any evidence whatsoever, called “bandits and murderers. Johnson’s venomous attack was published conspicuously by the reptile press yesterday morning in order to frighten the masses of foreign-born workers who are aroused over the plot to muraer Sacco and Vanzetti, but fortunately it had little effect as member of the Latin-American labor moverhent and force it along a definite line. American-Owned. There can .be no question as to where the effective control of the “Pan-American” body lies. Its head- quarters are in the A. F. of L. build- ing at Washington. Its president is, und has always been, the president of the A. F. of L. Three of its four of- ficers, are members of the A. F. of I. Three of its five conventions have been held in the United States, and at every one of those conventions the functioning head of every committee without exception has been a delegate of the A. F, of L. No resolution has ever been adopted without the support of the A. F. of L, delegates. Seldom has there been anything like a contest on the floor and nearly every decision has been unanimous. The history of the Pan-American Federation, therefore, the history cf the “foreign policy” of the A. F. crackers and my brain would food revolt at any mental stronger than the bible.
