PAGE SIX Northwest Adds New Clesed Periods To Save 'Humples During Drought T -l' SEATTLE, Sept. Restrammg Order Given by Court to Hall Copper Strike Sept. 6—(P—A tempor- ar H‘\h ining order was issued in U.S. Court today to halt the strike in the strategic copper industry. The order was signed by Circuit | Judge Alfred P. Murrah of the 10th Circuit Court. He was assigned to hear the request in the temporary absence of District Judge William Lee Knous. Judge Murrah set Sept. 14 for a hearing on issuance of a prelimin- ary injunction. Officials at union headquarters here issued a statement terming the injunction “unfair and unjust.” It added, however, that word is go- ing out immediately to the striking locals recommending they comply with the terms of the restraining order. H The action followed a brief (‘nl\-[ ference in chambers after the Uni- ted States moved to invoke the Taft- Hartley Act to end the strike. Truman called for the action last night after his fact-finding board reported the strike “is seriously ham- pering our economy."” Aid Asked in Locating Man Missing 3 Years Assistance is asked by Mrs. Alma| McKinney of Tacoma, Wash., inf finding her brother, John Alverson, missing for three years.
