OIL DAY or NIGHT Diesel and PRINTED | Fitzgerald and Lon McCa Seabiscuif Stand-in Acts Temperamental 'At 20th Century Sea Voyager, who plays the part of his daddy, Seabiscuit, in Warner Bros.' Technicolor film, “The Story of Seabiscuit,” now at the 20th Cen- tury Theatre, was everybody's pet during the making of the picture. But when they brought him into the gallery to make still photo- graphs with Shirley Temple, Barry ster, he got as temperamental as any human star “It's that blanket of roses you got, draped over him,” explained Tex, his groom. “He's never been in a winner’s circle before — and he don’t know what to make of them flowers!” Featured in ‘he cast are Rose- mary DeCamp, Pierre Watkin and Donald MacBride. William Jacobs produced “The Story of Seabiscuit” for Warner Bros. $200,300 Asied or Damage Done Cold Storage Maferial A $200,000 damage suit was filed in U. 8. District Court yesterday. This amount is asked by John Hendrickson from 8. E. Thorpe and concerns the dismantling of a cold storage building at Excur- sion Inlet. Hendrickson is repre- sented by the law firm of Mc- Cutcheon and Nesbett in Anch- orage. Plaintiff Hendrickson states that a contract had been signed by | himself and Thorpe in which Thorpe was to dismantle the cold storage and that he has paid £7,000 for the work, Thorpe, ac- cording to the contract, was to pile and stack the material from the plant so it could be moved and the building re-assembled in | some other place not mentioned in the contract. The plaintiff alleges that Thorpe did not carry out his part of the contract, but that he tore the building down in an “unworkman- like” manner so that the ceiling insulation was destroyed. He con- tends it would cost $200,000 to move and re-assemble the build- - ing, stated to have been 90 by 240 feet long and 14 feet high. | e | Stove METER SERVICE— PHONE 707 Foster’s Transfer & Storage Warehouse - 9th and Capitol CLIARANCE ALL ITEMS REDUCED Now Is the Time to Pick Up Your Christmas Gifts Cups and Saucers Chinese Figurines Art Objects and Antiques Stemware = English Dinnerware Leather Bags === Ivory Pictures Mocecasins = Lamps Dresilen Craft Figures and Paints Open 9:00 A.
