The awards will be pre- cented by members of the Faculty at Commencement exercises tonight. | Names of the recipients will not be announced until the presenta- | tioh according to Post Commander | Vern Har | The American Legion School | Award is presented annually to a| Loy and a girl of the graduating | c! who best represent those | qualities of character and ability, | which, if cultivated, are calculated | to result in better citizenship. The| quali’ications upon which the | E: s are based are: for the boy | —Honor, Courage, Scholarship, | Leadership, and Service; for the| girl Courage, Companionship, | Bob Ripke Bud Schultz Character, Service and Scholarship. The students to receive the awards were chosen by a committee of the American Legion after consultation with members of the high school faculty. A Commencement exercises will be held in the high school gymnasium at 8 o'clock. Invocation will be said by the Rey. Rokert Whelan and Henry A. Harmon will deliver the commence- meht address. Robert Ripke, president of the senjor class, will welcome guests to the exercises and the Valedic- tory will be given by Ann Henning. L. B. Avrit, principal of the high school will present the honors and awards won by students with Dewey Baker presenting diplomas.
