Douglas, the smaller team trailed through three quarters, then ral- lied, and went on to win by a score of 48 to 46. It was a fast and rough game from start to finish. Douglas’ rally {had the fans on their feet from | excitement. This is Douglas’ first win this season. Isaak and McCor- mick stood out for Douglas with lots of hustle and good shooting. Bach also played fine ball for the Huskies, both on defense and of- fense. O'Connor and Curtiss Bach were high for Arctics with 10 points each. Wilbur and Borbridge hit for 8 points each. In the second game the Imps vs Columbians, the lumbermen won out 59 to 46 in a game that almost |ended in a tussle. Throughout the second half tempers flared from both sides with a result of unneces- sary roughness seen frequently. Despite the rough tactics, the game was exciting and fast. Jack Pasquan and Rohrberg of Imperials played a good game, and did most of the scoring for the team with |15 for Pasquan and 12 for Rohr- | berg. Frank Brown stood out with |a couple of fine long shot swishers. Les Hogins for Columbians was high scorer, and seemed to have the range. His one handed set shots from the side went through the hoop without touching the rim, and pleased the fans. Itch Hansen scored 14 and played, heads up ball also with some long shots. The Columbians had to come from behind to win, that looked as ttough the Imps would win when they _yumped to a 10 to 15 point lead in the first quarter. The Lumbermen dwindled the lead to 1 point at halt time, and then went ahead to win. + REALTORS ~ ACCQUNTANTS WED. > NESDAY, JANUARY 3, 1951 W-A-N-T A-D-§ FOR SALE PHONES 676 and 207 NEW listing in Douglas: 2 BEDROOM house plus furnished apartment now rented.
