She had been a resident of Juneau for the past 35 years coming here from Edison, Washington. Her husband, J. E. Bland, worked in the mill at Treadwell in the early days. She is survived by five children, Mrs. 8 .E. Dyer of Ogden, Utah, and Mrs. Georg Martin, Mrs. Ger- trude Jewell, Mrs, W. B. Converse and Earl Bland of Juneau, in addi- tion to several grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge for 54 years and was a Past Noble Grand.
