[ONDAY, SEPTEMBER 25, 1950 DOUGLAS NEWS FIREMEN CLEAN RESERVOIR Douglas Volunteer Firemen turned out in full strength yesterday morn- ing, with picks and shovels, and spent the whole day, without stop- ping for lunch, cleaning the city water reservoir. | From 15 to 25 men were working | continually throughout the day, mucking out the bottom, cleaning | the walls and clearing the under- brush from near the waters edge The job, intending to last several hours, proved much longer with the water finally being turned back for use by residents close to 5 o'clock. Sept. 25—tm—l One Federal narcotics agent was| killed and another wounded in a Sunday mcrning opium raid on a downtown hotel here. Four men—one of them wound- ed in an exchange with the agents —were taken into custody. | Killed by a bullet through the heart was A, M. Bangs, 50, chief of the U. S.
