Leigh Colvin, president of the Women's Christian Temperance Union, as- serted today. . She urged a Congressional inves- tigation. If the situation were “fully expos- ed,” Mrs. Colvin told the National WCTU convention, “it would startle the country into corrective action more quickly than did the drink destruction of American Indians.” She said failure to curb the liquor traffic in Alaska, “one of the coun- try’s first lines of defense against Russia,” would “invite another Pearl Harbor.” Mrs. Colvin said surveys had show- ed that the Eskimos and the Aleuts are ‘“Increasingly on the decline from disease and improverishment due to drink.” SUIT, vs. GUS GEORGE In a civil action filed in District Court, Robert D.
