FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 8, 1950 PACK REPORTS STILL ONLY HALF OF 1949; | FISHING AGAIN TODAY | | Canned salmon pack reports for| the week ending September 2 show | no improvement in Southeast Al-| aska ru even with an ubundnnce{ of chums. No real indications of | a late run of pinks have been re- | ported. { As was shown in statistics for the previous week, the 1250 catch is only a little better than half the catch for the comparable period a | year ago. Total last week for all Southeast Alaska was 915,662 cases, against 1,781,068 in 1949. The West Coast district continued to make the best showing. Last | week's pack there came to 234,074 cases.
