Some Alaskagram contestants who are entitled to copies of the Alaska Almanac have still not received them. Final copies to complete the supply to contestants are enroute to the Territory today on two vessels, the M. S. Square Knot and the S. S. Alaska. Contestants who have not received books in Juneau, Sitka, Anchorage, and Fairbanks will be provided copies from the boats now Northbound and should be available at newspaper offices in those towns by July 1, at the latest. At that time, contestants who can reach Juneau by automobile should pick up their copies at the Daily Alaska Empire, just as those near Sitka should call then at the Daily Sentinel office. People in places served by hourly bus schedules from Anchorage can pick up books July 1 at the Anchorage Daily News, if they have not already received their copies. Fairbanks and the military installations near there will be similarly served by the Daily News-Miner. Contestants in places not mentioned above should have received books by direct mail. Any who have not, or any who will be unable to get books July 1 at the newspaper offices previously mentioned should write for a copy to David Tewkesbury, 2930 Van Asselt Court, Seattle 8, Wash. Eight to 10 days is the normal time for a book to reach any where in Alaska by mail, Any Alaskagram contestant who has not received his copy of the Alaska Almanac within 10 days should write for it.
