Each troop committee will review their candidates for second class, first class, and merit badges, according to the Rev. McPhetres, with ‘re- ports to be turned in to the boy scout office by April 20. The dis- trict’s participation plaque will be awarded for the fifth time at Qoug- las, being given to the troop having the best percentage of scouts and parents present at the honor court. To date it has been won twice by the Methodist Church’s troop 609, and twice by the American Legion’s troop 613. The Douglas Volunteer Firemen's troop 610 will be in charge of arrangements for the building and will provide the open- ing and closing ceremonies. Special feature of the court of { honor will be a series of short talks jby the ten Douglas and Juneau boys who are planning to take part in the National Jamboree to be held at Valley Forge, Pennsylvania, this summer. DELEGATE REPORTS ON WASHINGTON VISITORS Delegate Bartlett in his recent news letter, dated April 13, says: Joseph Alexander of Juneau has ar- rived in Washington to join Mrs, Alexander, Secretary to Governor Gruening. The Alexanders’ young son, David, accompanied his father. Gordon L. Wildes of Juneau has been in Washington recently to visit his son who is stationed with the Army in the Capital. A. L. Lintner of Anchorage Is in ‘Washington and plans to return to the Territory in two or three weeks.
