GIRL SCOUT NEWS Girl Scout Troop No. 8 met Tues- day afternoon in the Moose hall and we made pixies out of clay. There were some very cute pixies. Karin Boggan was our cookie girl. Girl Scout Troop No. 9 met Monday after school at the horfle of Mrs. Lyppsie. She and Miss Green had many helpful sugges- tions for us. We are going to have a tea and possibly a fashion show at the same time, Our troop will very shortly have their uniforms as the material and patterns for them have arrived. We will begin work on them as soon as possible. After our lengthy business meet- ing, refreshments were served by Ann Henning and Freda Green- wald. Our next meeting will be held on Monday, April 10. MARION JACKSON, Reporter UNION OIL NOW HAS FUEL BARGE, KODIAK Union Oil Company opened its newest Alaska Distributing station this week at Kodiak. To provide service for this summer, the com- pany is using an 8,000-barrel barge, moored just south of the city dock, in” Kodiak. Fishing boats and other marine craft can tie up to the barge for service. 5 Two tank trucks were carried on the barge from Seattle and will be used for deliveries to local trade and the airport.
