'RAGE IN HEAVEN, INGRID BERGMAN, AT 20TH CENTURY M-G-M’s thriliing psychological | drama, “Rage in Heaven,” is on the | screen tonight at the 20th Century Theatre with Ingrid Bergman and Robert. Montgomery in two of the greatest roles of their respective | careers as the woman tortured by her husband’s growing insanity and | the husband driven to a diabolical crime because of & twisted mind. The picture is tased on the novel | by James Hilton, and this cele- brated writer's genius for brilliant characterization, revealed in “Good- bye, Mr. Chips” and “Lost Horizon,” | reaches its peak in the compelling study of a weakling, married to a beautiful girl, whose unjustitied | jealousy of his best friend drives him to attempt the “perfect crime.” | Montgomery plays Philip Monrell, | a dashing, attractive young man with a queer mental quirk, the in- akility to believe in himself. He falls madly in love with, and mar-l ries, his mother's secretary, Stelia| (Miss Bergman), but he tortures| himself with the conviction that| she really loves his friend, Ward| Andrews (George Sanders), who is everything Philip would like to be. | As his madness grows on him, Philip deliberately throws Stella | and Ward together, then plans a| diabolically clever crime that will| make Ward his victim in one of the most suspenseful, unusual climaxes | ever screened. | Miss Rose Osage Honored, Luncheon Miss Rose Osage was honored at luncheon last Saturday noon in the Baranof Hotel, given by Mrs. Larry McKechnie. Besides the hon- cred guest and hostess, those at the table were Mrs. Ralph Graham and Miss Osage is from Tacoma and has been vishing her brother, George Osage of the Internal Rev- enue Service.
