He estimated this represents 30 percent of the total output, and said the company expects to be handling 50 percent by February. A spokesman for the dairymen man of the Catholic Carnival-Ba- zaar, has got real busy on publicity and has issued the following open letter which explains a things: “It seems you folks should be told something about the various games you'll have fun playing at the Carnival-Bazaar in the Cath- olic Parish Hall November 4 and 5. “First of all there will be that familiar game known as Beano which needs no description. “Then there will be the one ‘lot of | 6:20—Sports Scene. 6:30—Dinner Music. 6:45—Local News. 7:00—~COMMUNITY CHEST- CBS. 7:30—ARTHUR GODFREY-CBS. 8:00—Weather report. 8:05—Mucic to Read By. 8:30—LIFE WITH LUIGI-CBS. 9:00—Alaska News. 9:15—Viking Varieties. 9:30—ESCAPE-CBS. 10:00—News. 10:15—Drifting on a Cloud. 10:30—Weather Report. DOCTORS FOR BARROW, BETHEL BEING SOUGHT Some difficulty is being encoun- | tered in obtaining doctors lor" Point Barrow and Bethel, it is re- ported by Dr. James T. Googe, the| service's medical chief. Both are difficult posts, e noted, but he expected that within the near future he would find candi- dates. While Point Barrow is 'a one- doctor hospital, the other now needs two men, one of whom is there already, having replaced a; doctor relieved after 15 months/ duty. Bethel sérves approximately 8,000 natives, most of whom live under the most primitive conditions found said. Until recently many did not know of hospital facilities and did not avail themselves of the oppor- tunity to be treated, tut the hos-| pital’s prestige has grown, and now must have a staff of two. . “One man is simply overwhelm- Dr. Googe said. “There are ed,” Mlmb sm around 78 villages served by Bethel | gi alone.” 24| NORTHBOUND ; SOUTHBOUND Because the natives live in crude Ei iy shelters, sleep on skins and are 2% S.S.
